If you could have lunch with any 3 famous people, alive or dead, who would you pick, and why?
That’s difficult to answer, because if you choose 3 people from different time periods the people from farther back in time could have difficulty keeping up with the conversation.
Using only people from the same time period, I would say: Stephen Hawking, Christopher Nolan, and George Lucas. Having one of the greatest scientific minds, one of the best filmmakers, and one of the best universe creators at the same table would be amazing to me.
Cats or Dogs?
Cats. All the way. Nothing against dog lovers, but for me it’s cats.
Pineapple on a pizza; yea or nay?
On the right kind of pizza, yea. A lot of people say ham/Canadian bacon and pineapple, but no, it’s pepperoni and pineapple. And jalapeños. You get the zing from the pepperoni, the sweet from the pineapple, and the hot from the jalapeños. Love it.
What’s your favorite movie quote?
“Don’t try to be a great man. Just be a man, and let history make its own judgments.”
James Cromwell as Zephram Cochrane, Star Trek: First Contact
Do you believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life in the universe?
The astronomer/astrophysicist/astrobiologist/cosmologist Carl Sagan wrote, “The Universe is a pretty big place. If it’s just us, seems like an awful waste of space.”
I believe there has to be life out there somewhere. Will we find it, or confirm it in my lifetime? I doubt it, but to quote Nelson Mandela, “it always seems impossible until it’s done.”
